About the Baby

So, I am preggo. 6week, 5 days according to my first ultrasound. (I'd post a pic of the ultrasound, but it looks like black and white abstract art) The baby is supposedly due in late January, but I won't hold my breath about making it into the New Year! Nathan says he is getting a sister, and her name will be firetruck-firetruck. I just smile and nod. Yeah, we'll see. We found out we are pregnant on Andrew's birthday, which was about two weeks ago. Kind of funny, cause we found out we were expecting Nate on Andrew's birthday 4 years ago. I started off immedietly with my signature flare-up of acid reflux, and wated to die from that. I finally got permission to take Prilosec and that issue is getting resolved, only to be replaced by good old-fashioned morning sickness. All day. For someone who loves eating, this has been torture. I find it very interesting the way our brains magically forget the bad parts of pregnancy so we are dunb enough to do it again. I have very ...

Here's to a great start!

Well, the world seems to be thriving on this blog business, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Here's to a great start, let's see if I can keep it up! I am hoping for three outcomes here. 1) To update friends and family on our comings and goings 2) To keep a record for ourselves of ourcomings and goings 3) To give myself something to do to keep my mind off the nausea. Yup, that's right, nausea. Morning sickness, for whatever reason they call it that,as it lasts alot longer than through the morning. Looks like all of our waiting paid off. After working for this for almost a year I am now wondering what I was thinking, but I am counting on the fact that time passes, I won't feel sick forever. Eventually I will eat something other that saltines, and do something other than sit on the couch and try to ignore how ookie I feel. If anyone has brilliant ideas, feel free to comment.
