Proud Daughter

My parents volunteer on the Bonneville County Sheriffs Office Search and Rescue Team. Last night they got a call-out at about 8pm. They called and asked me to come get Baxter, their search dog, as they didn't need to search for the motorcyclists, just bring them out. Shortly after getting two teams in they got the call for the scout, and off they went. They finally made it home at dinner time today, after being up for 36 hours, out on a search for 20 of those hours. Read the text or watch the video for comments from my Mom. I am so proud of my parents! Click Here: Boy Scout Rescued Near Palisades Campground - Local News Story - KIFI Idaho Falls

Reminder

I have slowed down a little on my reading. I have such a hard time controlling myself. Either I don't read, or I read straight through a book, barely braking for mealtimes. I have however, kept up with my list on the side of the blog off all the books that I've read...although I feel like i must have forgotten some...hmm... Anyhow, the list is there, please comment below the list if you have any thoughts on any of those books, or suggestions of ones to add to my list. And here are a few of my top recommendations from my recently read list:

Still Cruising

Alright, I have to say that my last post got me a record number of responses. Amazing. And I'd like to update: I have no idea if I have lost my pound and a half for the week, but I have generally eaten less, and less "bad" stuff. I have also exercised EVERY day but Sunday. I have walked pushing the sit-and-stand for 45 minutes, or played DDR nonstop for 45 minutes (sometimes holding my daughter, now that's a workout), or mowed for an hour and a half. Many days I have done more than one of these. It's gotta count for something. I would like to try Yoga, and I am DYING to try Zumba, but I worry about actually GOING. I also want to ride my bike a little more. I think I want to train for a 25 mile charity ride - but it is in a month and a half, and I am not sure I'll be ready for this year. My new question to my support group out there: Do you have any favorite workout music? I want to make a CD of music that really makes me move, or at least put it on a MP3 playe...
