We Did It!!!

We-did-it  #1: I mentioned something big that happened right after our trip: We upgraded to a king bed. A friend of Heather's was selling her whole bedroom set including mattresses for a screaming good price, so we got the king bet, mattress & box springs, memory foam topper, 2 nightstands and a dresser with mirror. And now Andrew doesn't sleep half on top of me, and neither of us wake up with sore backs from the other person's back/elbow/knee/shoulder in their back all night. YAY! We-did-it #2 Emmy is potty trained. Yup, pretty much did it herself, which is a HUGE relief after Nate, who took till he was almost 5 to be completely trained. Last Monday I told her first thing in the morning that we were saying goodbye to the diapers, and she said "okay". She ended up sitting on the toilet 45ish times that day, pottying half of them. Since then there have been about 4 accidents. She stays dry though shopping, church, my choir practice...it's just before din...

The Big One - Family Vacation 2011

This trip had been planned for about a year. Andrew's sister(Sarah)'s daughter, Miranda, turned 8 and was baptized. Andrew's mom has access to condo's all over the place, so we stayed at the ones in St George. We absolutely LOVE staying in the condos, they are always so nice, and I love having a kitchen, and a washer and dryer (you'll see why in a moment). Originally the plan had been that Andrew would go to work in Poky Thursday night, with the car loaded and ready to go, and the kids and I were going to catch a ride to Pocatello early in the morning to join him. Thursday it started snowing, The high temps for the day were supposed to be 54. It started at 37, then dropped to 34, and never got above that. By the time it was an hour before Andrew was supposed to leave, we had 3 inches of snow. So he called work and found that the needed someone to be On-Call anyway, so he got to stay home that night. Everything for the trip was done, so we went to bed early. By 5:3...

Whoops

Somehow I missed September. Crap. Oh well. I can't linger this morning, because somehow I have almost missed the morning too. Crap. Oh well. So this weekend I will blog up a storm, on our vacation to St. George (great fun, minus the puke), General Conference, General life updates, and something else. I forgot what it is. Oh well.
