I took the year off of blogging. Not intentionally. Why? Let's be honest. It was like 80% Laziness, and 20% Other Worthless Excuses (nothing happening, etc). The year was fairly uneventful. Very little changed. I'm okay with that. Not every year needs to be an emotional roller coaster. Early in the year my maternal grandmother had the flu and a health decline and ended up first in the hospital, and then moved to an assisted living apartment instead of going back to her own place. It was a good move for her, she needed it, but it was an EXTREMELY stressful time for my mom, and then for me as I helped mom. Now she's still kicking, perhaps even thriving, in true Thelma fashion (much to my poor mom's dismay). Andrew is still working at the Hospital, and loving it. He is on several committees and now often works as a charge nurse. He still loves working nights, and I am great with it as long as his schedule stays pretty regular.
