Assorted Fun

Here is our pretty girl...pictures of Nate tomorrow. I also hope to be making another background this weekend, I think the person that did the free scrap kit I used before is releasing another one... I had no idea that my photoshop classes would have such diverse applications. I am having a ball playing with digital "card" making. Woohoo . I also have another post to make later today or tomorrow, I forgot to post after my friend Amy and I took the kids to Bear World. No one really cared about the bears, just the kiddie rides. As for updates for each of us: Andrew - 6 weeks left of school, stress will start kicking up here in the next week or so. Starting to look for RN jobs. Just finished reading the entire Harry Potter series again. Maren - Trying hard to be a nice mom. I am so tired! Just finished reading The Hunger Games, and loved it. Just helped Heather move into a super cute apartment, very glad to have her close. Starting to think about Christmas and birthday gifts, ...

Cruisin'

I've had this video for a couple of weeks now, and can't seem to remember to post it. Emmy shocked me with this one day, i knew she could stand at furniture, and that she could take a little half-step as needed, but when she started doing laps around the table I was floored.

An Ode to Fall

Fall is my mostest favorite time of year. To me it is more a time of fresh newness than spring is. I love the smell of leaves, and cider, and pumpkin spice. I love the briskness in the air. I love the colors, the orange and gold and brown. I love first frost and first snowflakes, the first day of school and first bowl of soup. I am reminded of You've Got Mail, when Meg Ryan talks about wanting a bouquet of freshly sharpened yellow #2 pencils at this time of year. I love pulling out long sleeve shirts and sweaters, getting to wear hoodies and slippers. I love hot choco , and steamers, which I have finally figured out how to sort of recreate at home. I love baking and roasting and simmering foods, I love the preparation for holidays. I love that all of the home decor at the stores matches my house, too bad I am not independently wealthy....There is only one small thing that I don't love - the start of sick season. We've already had puking and runny noses, and I am already...
