Avast, Ye Landlubbers!

Ahoy there Mateys, it be Cap'n Nate's 5th Birthday. He had a great time, and Mom is glad we only do parties every few years. Really glad. And Nate is really glad that EVERYONE knows that he like transformers. EVERYONE. Thank you.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Lots of different things have been going on the last couple of weeks. First off.... I'm finished with school. Choirs of angels sing praise!!!!! At least I'm done for a while. I want to relax, find a RN job and spend some time home with Maren and the kids. Maren is just wondering what in the world she is going to do now that she has me home two more days a week. Today I finally got the christmas lights hung outside. I've only been trying to get that done since Thanksgiving. But with school, drama at work, and home life, it has been practically impossible to do until now. It is not much but it looks nice. I got the front porch, the roof in front done. As I was starting to go up one of the peaks of the house, I started to feel a little shaky on the ladder, so I gave up on that idea. We all felt that it is better to have me in one piece with the light not going as high, than getting the lights up and me ending up in the hospital with broken bones. The Four Present Plan

For those of you on a budget, or looking to indulge less for Christmas, I thought this was an awesome plan, I am gonna present it to my hubby tonight, and we'll see what he thinks. It may already be out the door for this year, but maybe another time...Maybe it's time for a new tradition: I found this idea on Oops, I Craft My Pants . Here the brief rundown on the idea, it is supposedly floating all over the internet: It's the WANT. NEED. WEAR. READ. plan. Each person gets four gifts, one in each category. Hmmmm....Now how to incorporate that with Santa. Any ideas?
