Here is a comprehensive summary (is that an oxymoron?) of September, October, November and first week in December. Yay.
September brought the end of yard work - not enough was done this year, but whadda ya do, right? Nate started kindergarten, and loves it. I have been highly frustrated by the fact that he is so advanced, and in a public school setting there is nearly nothing that can be done. And teachers only sort of care. Still wrestling with what to do about it. But he loves being there with his friends and learning gross obscene boy things, like what a "hairy pickle" is. Yeah, nasty. Homeschool may be closer than I thought.
September also brought the death of an era. Our lousy old Grand Am got ditched in favor of a lovely white Ford Explorer. One weekend my parents bought a new Ford Ranger, Janna and Tony bought a Ford F150, and we got the Explorer. It has been fantastic, and we'd like to officially recommend Rigby Chevrolet and their family of dealerships.
October held busy weekends - Super Saturday for our ward was the 16th. I worked with the committee like a wild woman, but we heard rumors that is was the best and most organized that people had seen. We were proud of our work. I really love my calling on the committee, and really feel like we are accomplishing some good work.
The next weekend we ran away to Bear Lake. We stayed in a condo, and did virtually nothing for 3 days, other than clean up puke the first night. Once we got past the blown tire, and got there in double the time it should have taken, it was really nice. We are about ready to do it again...
The last weekend in October was Halloween, which this year was a 4 day affair. I was glad when it was over. Not a big Halloween fan, here. Nate was Peter Pan, Em was a Fairy. Super cute kids.

November brought illness. And that's about it. Em got a ear infection at the beginning, then we had a day off, then Nate got a tummy bug that lasted 8 days. Then a week of health, then Thanksgiving, and then the next day (MY BIRTHDAY) we had nasty food poisoning, suspected to have come from MY cheesecake :(
Actually, November brought something REALLY nice. Andrew got a job at Portneuf Medical Center. Great benefits, on the medical floor. Exactly what he's been looking for. Other than that he has to commute about an hour to get there, it will be really great. Luckily, it's 3 -12 hour shifts a week, so he isn't commuting every day. And someday maybe we'll move to Pokey, but for now we don't want to try to sell the house.
December has brought the preparing for the Holidays. We are spending Christmas with my family at a cabin in Island Park, so all plans for gifts and other things revolve around that. Andrew finished at Good Sam on the 10th and starts tomorrow at Portneuf. December has also brought the announcement that Nate and Em are going to have another cousin, Janna is due in August.
And I think that about wraps it up. If I remember vital details, I'll add them later. Phhhewwww. That feels good.
