Announcing a new addition and other updates...

Well, It's not a great picture, she's too wiggly. Her name is Molly, she is now 8 weeks old. She is a Chocolate Lab, and she is amazing. Exhausting, but a wonderful dog. She is gentle and smart and we love her. I am going insane keeping up with my three children, but it is good, in a few months, when she is a little less baby I might get some time to myself again. MMmmm , maybe... Andrew is working a second job, apparently just because he enjoys it. It is a Home Health group, he is a nurse that does home visits. Right now in orientation he is working all the time, but supposedly in a week or so it'll just be a few visits a week, like one day a week. He is also still enjoying (most of the time) his regular job as a nurse, and looking forward to starting his last semester as a RN student in a few weeks. As I have said before, I am taking care of my three "kids". That's about it for now. I am lucky when I get the chores done and can read a page or two in Jane ...

Sitting

Yay yay! I have been waiting for this day for...well, almost 7 months, since Emmy was born. She can sit. She started about a week or so ago, and she will probably be crawling in a few weeks. Have I ever mentioned I don't like babies? I feel bad saying it, well, a little. I really like my kids more with every new milestone and every added bit of cognition. Maybe I'll really like being with my kids about the time they move out. I think I must be a bad mom....

A Very Exciting Shoutout!

I read people's blogs all the time, where they post a shoutout for a company or product they love, sometimes even to win something. I have almost done it several times, but I always forget. This time there is no way I am gonna forget, I have to shout about this from the rooftop. Two years ago I was looking for a job while Andrew was in the LPN program. I ended up as an activity assistant and in social services at a nursing home. I enjoyed it alot, but before that, I was offered a job at a Montessori School, as a teacher in a summer camp program. We started to have meetings about themes, curriculum, and activities. Then the week before the job really started we heard that enrollment hadn't met expecations and the program had to be cancelled. The head of the school felt terrible about the posisiton that left me in, and offered to let me do their teacher training for free that summer. As I considered it I did alot of research about Montessori, and was impressed, more than impresse...

Cute Kids

I haven't posted anything about my kiddos in a while. I am not even sure I have taken pictures in a few months. I promise to post more soon but here are a few... GRASS!!!!!

Yay Yay Yay, we have grass - all over! We are so excited, it was hard work, especially since we had to do it in the afternoon, when it was the hottest. A HUGENORMOUS thank-you to Chris, Mom H, Trent and Amy, Mom and Dad A, and Mik and his buddies for helping. Keeping it watered is a bit of a challenge, but it'll be so worth it.

Misc. Things Going On

So for everybody to know. Maren finally got her hair cut. Thank you for all of your votes. I voted for number 1 also. Not that Maren ended up with that haircut. Basic story is this. She went with Amy to a salon . Amy got a great hair cut. Maren told the girl taking care of her that she just wanted a trim because she wanted to grow her hair out long and curly. The dumb girl chops a huge chunk out of Maren's hair. The rest was done fine, but no way to miss the fact that a huge chunk of hair was missing. (more importantly, Maren could see it.) It upset her greatly, so she went to a highly recommended beautician and got the rest cut and styled so the chunk wouldn't be missed. Not as short as number 5 but longer than number 2. Maren could tell you exactly which one she thinks it looks like. It looks nice, but both of us are kind of bummed that its going to be another 8-12 months before it has grown out enough to put curls in again. I'm still in school. This summer semester is k...
