I don't know, what do you want to do? OOoooo, I know, let's move!!!

When we bought our house just over 5 years ago, we bought it knowing that it was nice enough, and big enough, that we COULD stay here forever, but weren't sure we wanted to. I was very pregnant, and the loan didn't go as smoothly as we had hoped, and it was SO exhausting. And the thought of trying to sell a house seemed so scary. So we adopted the idea that this may be the one and only. Fast forward 4 years, Andrew lost his job, and was having a hard time finding a new one, so we started to consider moving out of the area if he could get a new job elsewhere. We had a few Realtors come by, and they all told us our house was worthless, we'd have to short-sale it. So we kind of dropped the idea. We talk now and then about what we'd like in a different house, or "if we ever move", but not seriously. There's one thing we really hate about the house, and that's the neighborhood, specifically this end of the street. I may go into that more later. But it's getting worse, so we started recently to talk more about moving, maybe even putting it on the market THIS YEAR. Crazy!

Last week we made a trip to the temple. It was a great session, but we both came out feeling like we definitely DID need to put the house on the market. So we decided we'd start working on little projects, cleaning it up, and put it on the market by the beginning of May.
All weekend we talked about what needed to be done. The list was so overwhelming. Painting, weeding, cleaning, packing, throwing away.... would we ever get it done?

Monday morning I decided to put the word on Facebook that we were thinking about selling. Not actually "list it", but just start the networking process - After all, it's not WHAT you know, but WHO you know, right?
On Monday I had 5 people ask for more info, and showed it twice before even taking pictures.
On Tuesday I took and posted pictures, showed it again, and set up an appointment for Friday.
On Wednesday I got the incredible news that we should be set to get a new loan, and we may come out making enough to COMPLETELY pay off our credit card debt, leaving us $220 richer each month. And I have a realtor friend, the BEST realtor in the world, who is going to "consult" on our paperwork on a sale.
All three people who saw the house are very interested, or say they are, and at least one already has financing, and one has texted several times to let us know they are still interested.

Maybe it won't happen, maybe in a few weeks we won't have sold, and we'll still be here, and no one will want to see it again. Maybe my hours and hours of research, hoping, and praying will have led to ... not us living on a different street. But we received a prompting in the temple, and followed it, and the blessings are raining - no, pouring - out on us. And even if we only received that prompting so we could show how we could follow it, there will be great blessings.

And now.... My house. It's beautiful. It makes me a little sad to see these pictures...
PS, ignore the fact that the painting and trim isn't all done in the laundry room... :)
