The Henderson Family Chronicles

Well, hard to believe, but it is almost April. Emmy is 3 months old, I plan to take some pics and post about her later. Nate is still stuck in the terrible fours, worse than the 2's or 3's. Anyone with ideas for combating the "you're not the boss of me" stage, I'd love to hear them. My mom made her pilgrimage to Nebraska, and made it back alive. I survived her absence too! Twilight (the movie) is out, I have watched it 3 more times, and decided I don't really love it. I really feel like it does no justice to the book. They follow the story line almost exactly, so I can't try to pretend that they are different stories, like with Ella Enchanted or other book-to-movie pairs. I just don't like the directing, and the lighting, and the makeup, and the acting, or even the casting for that matter. I don't like the way Edward is portrayed as so uncertain, in the books he is smooth and confident. I don't know. It's ok , I guess, but miles awa...

I just have to say...I am happy. The weekend of the dog made me realize how good my life is, and how much I feel like I can manage it. My kids are relatively good, I love my house, my hubby has a good job, he is doing well in school and after a billion years and over 200 credits, he is nearly done...for now. Our car runs, I desperately want something with more space, but it'll come. I get to talk to my mom every day and see her several times a week...except this week, she's in Nebraska. My Favorite Sissy lives just around the corner, and she is gonna have a Cooper-Pooper. I have a good friend named Amy, and we hang out frequently. Spring is coming, it rains more than snows. I am excited to get working on our yard, and the weather this weekend is supposed to be AWESOME! Speaking of his weekend..... TWILIGHT is coming out on Saturday. YEAHHHHHHH ! My kids are healthy. Yah , Nate still poops in his sleep, and sometimes on the floor not in his sleep. Apparently he missed the tidb...

Well, here is our tail, I mean tale. Saturday we met and fell in love with a puppy at PetCo . Her name is Isis, she is a boxer mixed with something. She is the exact same age as Emmy. We brought her home and she had a hard time proving to us that she really was potty trained. Sunday we went to church, and left her in the bathroom. We came home to a poop encrusted bathroom, everything below the 4 foot mark was covered in poop. The cupboards, the counter, the sink, my hairbrush, the walls, the toilet, and so on. It took me an hour and a half to clean it. I was upset, but we figured we were the dumb ones for leaving her. As the day wore on though she continued to have a hard time with proving she is potty trained, not that she had accidents, but that we'd take her out to potty , stand in the icy wind for an eternity,bring her in, and she'd race for the carpet and do her business there. Just had to post this picture cause I thought it was funny, I didn't realize they were doing the same thing until I put the picture on the computer. In fact, at the time I thought the picture was ruined because Nate's arm is partially blocking Emmy.

Emmy's blessing was today. I am so thankful to have a husband who is worthy to hold the priesthood required to give her that blessing. She was very well behaved all the way through church. Here are some pictures of her big day.
